Description
On select Wednesday afternoons, the art studio and makerspace will be open for community members to enjoy making art while hanging out and getting to meet new friends.
We will have coffee and light refreshments available for everyone to enjoy. The event is open to all types of visual artists and crafters such as fiber arts (knitting, crochet, embroidery), scrap booking, painters, sketch artists, beading and more. Bring your current art project with you to work on during the open studio time.
Each month there will be a special craft that attendees are welcome to make as well. The children’s makerspace area will also be available to find materials to create with. The slime/Play Dough making station will be open as well.
This drop-in event is open to all ages. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult. This is an informal group and lessons are not guaranteed.
As part of our Community Art Initiative, we're offering this class as a "Pay What You Can" event. This ensures that everyone can enjoy our art classes, regardless of financial circumstances. If the suggested tuition rate of $5 is outside your family's budget, simply name in the ticket amount spot a registration rate that works for your family. No proof of income is required and no one is turned away based on their registration amount.
If you would like to Pay It Forward and help more children have the opportunity to enjoy our Community Art Programs, please consider donating to the program by registering at a higher rate than the suggested amount. Any amount given over the $5 suggested rate will go towards the Community Art Initiative.
