Description
HFLI’s JumpStart is an out-of-school program that empowers youth to take charge of the impact they want to create for themselves and for others. This dynamic learning experience features the new Ford STEAM Lab curriculum and a "hackathon" learning environment. Through work in teams and alongside mentors who are entrepreneurs and social innovators, youth gain in-demand skills and mindsets that position them as emerging change makers in school, at work, and for their community.
This workshop is open to Detroit high school students. It is being provided at no cost to participants, including meals and snacks, thanks to a grant by the Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan from the Detroit Auto Dealers Association (DADA) Charitable Foundation Fund, .design domains, Ford Motor Company Fund and the
Hudson-Webber Foundation.
