Description
The City of Farmington Hills Cultural Arts Division will offer prospective music students a wonderful opportunity to meet the Division’s newest teacher on October 30 anytime between 6-8 p.m. at the Longacre House. This free drop-in event is open to all ages. Beer and wine will be available for those 21-years and older.
Francesco Cavallini has been playing both guitar and the mandolin since he was a very young child. He moved from Italy to Michigan in 1983 to study classical guitar at Eastern Michigan University, where he later earned a Master of Music Performance Degree. He studied privately with Steve Aaron at the University of Akron, Ohio and participated in guitar master classes with Pepe Romero and David Russel. Cavallini has performed on mandolin and guitar for many theaters and opera houses in Michigan and tours across the United States and Italy playing in various clubs and festivals. In addition to teaching at the Longacre House, Cavallini also teaches classical guitar with the University of Michigan-Flint.
Registration will be available on-site for lessons starting as early as November 6. Lessons will take place on Tuesdays from 4-7 p.m. in the charming historical setting of Longacre House and are only $25 per half-hour session.
