Experience Détroit as it was in the days of Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac at Le Rendez-vous du Détroit, a celebration of French and Native American heritage. Listen to the original Motown sound with live French and Native American music. Learn to dance like a Voyageu. Visit with historical re-enactors who will explain the importance of the French fur trade in Michigan in the 18th century. Enjoy authentic French and Native American cuisine. Discover 18th century children's games and crafts. This bilingual (French/English) event also features an 18th century Fashion Show, military drills with the French Marines and Artisans showcasing French, Michigan, Native American and Detroit-themed artwork and merchandise. Le Rendez-vous du Détroit will also be live-streamed on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021 with tickets available at Eventbrite.
