Light the Night Flannel 5K kicks off the Fireworks and Flannels weekend at Waterford Oaks County Park. Families with older kids can run or walk the snowy course, then warm up with a bonfire and hot cocoa under the stars. The race happens rain or snow, and leashed dogs are welcome.

Event cost: $28 per person. Registration required. Each participant receives a race beanie, medal and drink ticket for the Feb. 14 beer tent.
