The Downtown Detroit Partnership Parks and Public Spaces (DDP) officially brings back Movie Nights in the D, showing award-winning movies in Campus Martius Park every Saturday through August. With movie theaters across the state closed due to the government-mandated shutdown, the Downtown Detroit Partnership has found a safe way for families to enjoy their favorite films on the big screen in a fun outdoor environment.

The family-friendly movie showings on a 10’x16.3’ screen are free, but
attendance is limited in accordance with the State of Michigan’s guidelines in
response to COVID-19, so moviegoers must register online.

In order to safely accommodate more visitors, two showings of each movie
will be offered at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. each Saturday. Fans are encouraged to
dress up in costumes or memorabilia to celebrate their favorite films. Mask
wearing at all movie showings is required.
