Read and Look: Bill and Pete Go Down the Nile at the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology in Ann Arbor
Kelsey Museum of Archaeology
434 South State Street
Ephrata, PA 17522
Join us for a kid-friendly tour of the Egyptian exhibits at the Kelsey Museum! We begin by reading aloud "Bill and Pete Go Down the Nile" by Tomie dePaola. In this fun book, Bill the crocodile and his trusty toothbrush Pete take on a thief while on a field trip to the Cairo Museum. After we read the book, we’ll take a look at our own mummy, mummy coffin and other Egyptian artifacts. Take home a scavenger hunt, Egyptian hieroglyphs ID sheet and Senet game board for further discovery! This tour is great for our younger visitors, ages 4-8. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Saturday Sampler tours are free and open to all visitors. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend this tour, please contact the education office (734-647-4167) at least two weeks in advance. We ask for advance notice as some accommodations may require more time for the University to arrange.
