Reading & Rhythm on the Riverfront (R3) is the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy’s unique, interactive early literacy program that provides children from southeast Michigan an opportunity to see live children’s entertainment, hear a story read by a local community leader, receive a free book and ride on the Cullen Family Carousel.

For families and groups under 10 may register on site. Groups of over 10 children must pre-register. The 2019 program will run July 11-Aug. 16, with sessions taking place on Thursdays and Fridays at 11 a.m., noon and 1:15 p.m.  Each session lasts for 45 minutes. Participants must participate in the session to receive a free book and carousel ride.
