Description
The Rendez-vous at Ste. Anne de Détroit is a French-Canadian and Native American cultural festival celebrating the founding heritages of Détroit, which kicks off French Canadian Heritage Week in Michigan.
Step back in time to 18th Century Détroit and immerse yourselves in French-Canadian and Native American music, dancing, food, 18th Century children's crafts and games. A Heritage Tent with cultural exhibits, historically-accurate re-enactors portraying a military garrison from Fort Pontchartrain, 18th Century living demonstrations and artisans featuring French, Native American, Michigan and Detroit themed artwork will also be on site.
The Rendez-vous is a bilingual event, in French and English. Tours of the historic Ste. Anne de Détroit, a National Landmark, which was founded by the French in 1701 and is the second oldest ongoing parish in the United States, will also be held.
