Description
Kids ages 8 and older will learn about friction and what is necessary to make a sled move slow or fast. In this hands-on activity, participants will receive a supply packet with materials to test the science of sledding, then design a miniature sled to carry a specific weight down the hill. Bring your own sled to go sledding after you learn about the science of sledding. This program is held entirely outdoors and is snow dependent. Social distancing and face coverings are required. Preregistration is required by Feb. 11, and there are one-hour sessions at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
