On Saturday, May 25, The Hummus & Pita Co., will officially bring their wholesome, homemade Mediterranean cuisine to Great Lakes Crossing Outlets.

The first 50 guests on opening day will receive either a free Chickpea Chiller or free falafel pita of their choosing. Stop by at 5 p.m. to take part in a falafel eating contest, which offers a first place cash prize of $250. IHeartRadio station 95.5 will also be on-site from 4-6 p.m.

Founded in 2011 in New York City by the Pesso family, The Hummus & Pita Co. offers an array of nourishing house-made options inspired by timeless family recipes. Their signature item include pita & laffa sandwiches and customizable bowls & salads crafted with house-made Turkish meatballs, shawarma, chicken tabun, vegetarian options and more.

They will also be offering their newly launched Chickpea Chiller, a chickpea-based shake, in a variety of flavors and protein-packed Chickpea Shmears (chocolate, cake batter and cookie dough), which can be enjoyed on their own or as a dip for pita chips and fruit – both are nutritious, gluten-free and vegan
