Profile

Romulus Community Schools is a tight knit school district conveniently located along the I-94 corridor. Our mission is to continuously provide innovative learning opportunities, which will best prepare all students to meet the challenges of the future. This is possible thanks to our Blue Ribbon award winning elementary schools all the way up to our Early College partnership with Wayne County Community College. We also offer a virtual program at our Romulus Virtual Learning Center for students who thrive in a non-traditional educational setting. Our experienced and dedicated staff offers a caring and nurturing approach to the families and students we serve.

Our elementary Accelerated Curriculum and Enrichment Program provides opportunities for students to excel to their fullest potential. The program services students in grades 3-8 and is designed for highly motivated and academic excelling students. ACE offers a project-based learning model that includes field trips and differentiated learning through multiple means of learning modalities.

In the summer we offer a free camp (Camp Learn A-Lot) to all of our enrolled elementary students. It is a curriculum-based program with a specific academic focus. It allows our high school students the opportunity to give back as they work as camp counselors. We are also partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of America, which provides our families with before and after school care all year round.

Our Middle school focuses on building a positive transition from elementary to high school. It offers a multitude of academic supports as well as extracurricular activities such as art, music and athletics. Through a grant provided by the Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority the Romulus Youth Leadership Program prepares 6th-8th grade students to live above the influence and to be upstanding citizens in their community.

Romulus High School provides a college and career focused environment that continues to soar to new heights. Our graduating classes since 2010 have been awarded with more than $30 million in academic/athletic scholarships, including the 2015 and 2016 recipient of the Gates Millennium Scholarship.

In addition to the clubs, activities and athletics we offer, we are proud of our highly successful Culinary Arts and Music programs. RHS also houses the Beaumont Teen Health Center, providing medical and social services onsite and is the perfect partnership for our Health Occupation students. The center is funded in part by the Oakwood Foundation, Michigan Department of Community Health and the Michigan Department of Education.
