The average American student spends 15,000 hours in school from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. That’s 30 percent of each day. The desire to surround your children with caring teachers, a positive school culture and Christian core values during those crucial years is on the hearts of many parents.
Time is precious, and where you choose to invest that time is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent. That’s why so many metro Detroit families choose Plymouth Christian Academy for their children’s education.
The school, a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church, is a non-denominational, college preparatory Christian school located on 45 acres in Canton. Since 1976, Plymouth Christian Academy has been educating students while equipping them for a life of learning, leadership and service.
“Our mission to equip every student to become a college-ready, service-minded leader that is bold enough to live out their faith is what makes us tick at Plymouth Christian,” says Beth Larabee, the Advancement Director and Elementary Coordinator at Plymouth Christian Academy.
“We offer a balanced approach to education that develops the whole student by providing solid academics in the context of Christian values during those all-important years. But it goes beyond that. We don’t just prepare students for the next step. We prepare them for every hour that follows their final step at graduation.”
With a balanced approach to education, Christian character development and a positive school environment, Plymouth Christian Academy helps to develop well-rounded students.
Students who attend Plymouth Christian Academy will not only flourish academically and socially, but also spiritually. Students attend Bible classes, serve the community through the annual Project SHINE Program and other community service initiatives and attend a spiritual retreat each year during high school. All of these opportunities bring students closer to God.
A unique fine arts program, which includes bands and strings, theater and dance, visual arts and vocal music is offered to students from “begindergartern,” also known as Young 5s, through 12th grade.
For families that think that a private, Christian education is unattainable due to cost, that’s not that case for Plymouth Christian Academy families – and prospective families. Thanks to variable tuition, everyone has access to the quality education at Plymouth Christian Academy.
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to affording a Christian education at Plymouth Christian Academy. With variable tuition, parents pay a range that spans from 50 to 85 percent of the full cost of tuition. This amount depends on each family’s financial need.
