Fall doesn't mean that the family fun has to stop. In fact, there are tons of fall activities and events happening in Macomb County. See what's in store for 2025!

Are you looking for something fun to do with your kids this fall? Macomb County may be the perfect place for you to get outside and enjoy everything that this season has to offer.

You can start your family’s fun at one of the community farmers markets, which offer all kinds of festive fall foods, like pumpkins and gourds, and handmade wares from local creatives.

After that, you can hit up a local apple orchard to score some delicious cider and doughnuts — or if you’re feeling spooky, one of the many Halloween-themed shows and festivals.

Cider mills and apple orchards

Apple and pumpkin picking, corn mazes and farm activities are primo options for family fun this time of year — and Macomb County’s seven orchards deliver with all that and much more.

Stop by Big Red Orchard and Cider Mill in Washington for u-pick apples and pumpkins or Blake’s Big Apple in Armada for its Funland and haunted attractions.

Stony Creek Orchard and Cider Mill is where you’ll get a peek inside life on the family-owned farm and Westview Orchards and Cider Mill is known for its yummy baked goods.

Families looking to get into the fall (or Halloween) spirit find no shortage of events and activities in Macomb County.

From spooky attractions to fall festivals to trick-or-treat trails to trunk-or-treat events, you’ll find something for everyone.

Fall Fun Activities at Westview Orchards & Winery

Labor Day weekend-Oct. 26, 2025 (Saturdays-Sundays; limited during week)

This annual fall fest features a pumpkin patch, a wagon ride, farm attractions, fall photo opportunities, barnyard animals, specialty food and drinks, an apple cannon and more.

Terror on Tillson Street

Oct. 1-31, 2025

  • Address: Tillson Street, between Sisson and South Main streets, Romeo
  • Cost: Free

Drive through to check out the Halloween decorations on Tillson Street throughout the month and swing by on Halloween for trick-or-treating.

Nightmare on Auburn – A Utica Fall Festival

Oct. 4, 2025

  • Address: 7550 Auburn Road, Utica
  • Cost: Free

Enjoy trick or treating downtown on Auburn Road where it will be blocked off. There will also be a costume contest, cider and donuts, a family fun zone, live music and more.

Halloween Hoopla at the Macomb Township Recreation Center

Oct. 10, 2025

  • Address: 20699 Macomb St., Macomb
  • Cost: $5/resident, $10/non-resident

Families can enjoy a trick-or-treating trail and other fun Halloween activities and attractions. Advanced registration required.

Trick or Treat Trail at Whistle Stop Hobby & Toy, Inc.

Oct. 11, 2025 

  • Address: 21714 Harper Ave., St. Clair Shores
  • Cost: Free

Collect candy and snag some photos with Stitch and Angel. Lindsay Gizicki, a local author, will be sharing her book, Bookley the Book-Loving Ghost. Wear your costumes, and get a free pumpkin with an in-store purchase. No RSVP required.

Halloween at the Y in Mount Clemens

Oct. 17, 2025

  • Address: Macomb Family YMCA,10 N. River Road, Mount Clemens
  • Cost: Free

Enjoy an evening of Halloween games, costumes and healthy treats — a safe way for families to get active and celebrate the spooky season together.

HarvestFest at Freedom Hill County Park

Oct. 18-19, 2025 

  • Address: 14900 Metro Parkway, Sterling Heights
  • Cost: $9/person, $6/parking

Wear your costume and enjoy trick-or-treating, games, a pumpkin patch, inflatables, music, movies, music and food trucks.

Halloween Fun Fest at Macray Harbor

Oct. 23, 2025

  • Address: 30675 N. River Road, Harrison Township
  • Cost: Free

This family-friendly fest promises a “frightfully fun evening” to kick off your Halloween season a smidge early.

Trick or Treat on Washington Street

Oct. 24, 2025

Address: 2401 Ashley St., Door #3 and downtown New Baltimore
Cost: $5/special event wristbands

Join in trick-or-treating from 70+ vendors, live entertainment, bounce houses, cider, doughnuts and more — plus a free treat bag for the first 200 guests.

Trunk R Treat at Stony Creek Church in Utica

Oct. 29, 2025 

  • Address: 45835 Van Dyke, Utica
  • Cost: Free

This event features a DJ, hot cocoa and candy in a friendly setting.
