Apple and pumpkin picking, corn mazes and farm activities are primo options for family fun this time of year — and Macomb County’s seven orchards deliver with all that and much more.

Stop by Altermatt Farms in Macomb Township for pumpkins, pickles and peppers (in addition to apples) or Blake Farms in Armada for its seasonal corn maze.

Stoney Creek Orchard and Cider Mill is where you’ll get a peek inside life on the family-owned farm and Westview Orchard is known for its yummy baked goods.

Need to up the scare-factor on your family’s outing? Take a walk around one of the numerous neighborhoods, like Tillson Street in Romeo, that have gone all-out in decorating for the holiday.
