Ed Talks: A new addition to the expo

While families made their way through the museum and visited exhibitors, some made their way to one or more of the following “Ed Talks” sessions. Ed Talks, which was a new addition to the expo this year, drew about 250 people to the sessions, which ran from 10 minutes to 45 minutes.

Our new Ed Talks, running throughout the afternoon in the Auditorium, offered a dose of educational advice and inspiration from local experts to help you give your child an academic edge. Plus, there was a panel on the state of education in Michigan and a Town Hall conversation with our partners at Bridge Magazine, Michigan’s award-winning source of news and analysis.

The Center for Michigan and Bridge Magazine brought their yearlong Michigan Truth Tour to Education Expo. As part of the tour, Bridge’s engagement team holds town halls, encouraging Michiganders to be heard and learn more about how to advocate for their children and families.
