Kids who love Spider-Man, Princess Elsa, Batman and Wonder Woman – not to mention Black Panther and Buzz Lightyear – had a blast at the Metro Parent Kids Hero Con on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020. This fantastic annual family event delivers awesome characters and epic fun for children all around metro Detroit and Ann Arbor.

In 2020, the fun happened from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Orchard Mall in West Bloomfield. Kids dressed up as their favorite superheroes or princesses and had their pictures taken with various larger-than-life characters, including:

  • Bat Hero
  • Frozen Princess Ann
  • Snow Queen
  • Star Commander
  • Spider Hero
  • Panther Hero
  • Warrior Woman
  • Ghostbusters Detroit

They also participated in the “Heroes Challenge,” made super-cool crafts, enjoyed treats and got a goody bag to take home – not to mention scored some swag celebrating the Paramount Pictures Sonic the Hedgehog movie, out in theaters Feb. 14, 2020.

Watch this page for more information about future Kids Hero Con events. Reregistration is always highly recommended for this popular event. In 2020, pre-registration sold out, and ticket costs increased at the door. Parents and kids under age 2 always get in free; rates historically are $5 for kids ages 2 and older in advance and $10 at the door (though this is subject to change).
