Meet Jessica, Metro Parent January 2013 CoverKid – VIDEO

Think being a celeb is a cinch? Those bright lights and big questions are not for novices! But southeast Michigan kid Jessica proved she was a pro in no time – and warmed up to being an interviewed “star” pretty quick.  This 7-year-old Westland gal is Metro Parent’s very first CoverKid to appear both on the cover of our magazine, cozying up in some super-cool winter gear, and in our inaugural Q&A video.

Check it out, right below, to get the scoop on what Jessica wants to be when she grows up, why she’s way into One Direction – and her favorite stuff to do with her sister and friends during the winter. Oh, and she dishes on how she likes to wear her hair when it’s not hidden under that warm, comfy hat:

Interested in your kid being on the cover of Metro Parent magazine? You’ll want to keep your eyes on the MP Events page. That’s where we post information about the upcoming event, as soon as the details are set. Natural self-confidence, poise and personality are what it takes (as you can see with Jessica!). We hope you’ll get your kids involved with the next CoverKids. You never know: The might wind up in the spotlight, too.
