This sweepstakes begins on June 27, 2024 and ends on Sept. 6, 2024. One prize (valued at $1,200) will be awarded to one winner, who will be notified via the email they provided in the entry.

Additional rules on The Homestead sweepstakes prize:
- From The Homestead: The Homestead gift card for $1,200 can be used at any time of the year for lodging. Valid for 3 nights/4 guests at most of our accommodations if available during their requested dates.
- The $1,200 gift card will pay for their entire stay including taxes. Guest will need to make an initial deposit on their personal credit card to reserve their stay. This deposit would equal the first night rate of the unit they have chosen. Once the guest presents the gift card at check in. Their deposit will be refunded.
- If the guest cancels, the deposit will be held for a future reservation for up to 2 years. We will then transfer that deposit to the new reservation that the guest reserves to secure that stay. Deposits will be forfeited if the guest cancels within 2 weeks of arrival for condominiums and homes and within 3 days of arrival for any of our hotels.
- The recipient will need to call our reservations department at 231-334-5100 to reserve their stay, and may be asked to take photos.
- Non-Transferability: This prize is awarded specifically to you and cannot be transferred to another individual or entity. It is intended solely for your enjoyment and cannot be gifted or reassigned.
- Prohibition on Sale: The prize must not be sold or exchanged for monetary value or any other form of compensation. Any attempt to sell or transfer this prize will result in its forfeiture.
- Media Content Agreement: By accepting this prize, you agree to provide us with photos and videos from your stay at the resort. These should showcase the destination, activities, and experiences you enjoyed. You will grant us the rights to use these images and videos for promotional purposes.
- Social Media Consent: Acceptance of this prize includes your agreement to allow us to share on social media platforms the news of your win. This may include your name, photographs, and a brief description of your experience and feelings about winning the prize.
- Photo Usage Permission: You consent to our use of the photos and videos you provide for social media and other promotional materials. This helps us share your wonderful experience with our community and future participants.
- Tax Responsibility Acknowledgment: You acknowledge that the prize value of $1,200 is subject to federal, state, and local taxes. As such, you will receive a 1099 form for your 2024 tax returns, reflecting the prize’s value as taxable income.
- Acceptance of Terms: To claim this prize, you must agree to all the stipulations outlined above. Failure to comply with any of these terms will result in the forfeiture of the prize.
- Completion of W-9 Form: Prior to being awarded the prize, you must complete, sign, and date the federal tax form W-9. The W-9 is required to document your tax obligations related to the prize. Non-compliance will result in prize forfeiture.
