My Mantra: Adapt and Overcome. Forge Your Own Path

Kathy Jaafar wants her son to believe he can do anything he puts his mind to and that's the driving force behind her mantra, forge your own path.

Local mom and Air Force vet, Kathy Jaafar uses her military experience to teach her sib how to forge his own path with her mantra: Adapt and overcome.

“I wanted my son to embrace the positivity of it more so than anything, but then as I wanted to lead by example as well, so I added that ‘forge your own path,'” she says. “I wanted my son to know, see, believe that whatever he puts his mind to, he can do.”
