The 'Dirty Dozen' Fruits and Vegetables

Thinking of going organic but don’t know where to start? Consider the produce on this list when grocery shopping for your family.

It’s compiled by the Environmental Working Group (EWP). This nonprofit seeks to find important facts for consumers using readily available public information. EWP analyzed pesticide residue data from 89,000 tests collected by the USDA and the FDA. From that info, they created a roundup of the fruits and vegetables that contain the most pesticide residues. EWG recommends varying the produce you eat, rinsing all produce and buying organic when possible.
