Designing Cars and Cities of the Future at College for Creatives Studies

This summer camp is broken up into ages 8-10 and 11-13. Students will imagine what the world would look like in the year 2050. They’ll sketch their vision.

Summer Art Studio Camp at Cranbrook Kingswood Middle School for Girls

June 19-Aug. 11, 2023 

Kids in grades 2-10 can enjoy this art camp, which features instructions in painting, drawing, sculpture, composition, illustration and photography. Week 1 is 3-Dimensional, Illustration, Foundation: Figure Drawing, Week 2 is Wheel Throwing, Cartooning, Collage, Week 3 is Drawing, Fibers, Foundation: Perspective Drawing, Week 4 is Ceramics, Acrylic, 3-Dimensional, Week 5 is Wheel Throwing, Drawing, Printmaking, Week 6 is Watercolor, Photography, Foundation: Portrait Drawing, Week 7 is Ceramics, Jewelry, Bookmaking and Week 8 is Illustration, Sculpture, Exploring Still-Life. Lunches and snacks are included. You may also sign up for half sessions (June 19-July 14 or July 17-Aug. 11) or partial sessions, which are on a weekly basis.

Young Authors Camp at Cranbrook Kingswood Middle School for Girls

June 19-Aug. 11, 2023

Boys and girls in grades 2-8 can enjoy this writing camp, where campers will experience being authors, illustrators, editors and published writers. Each week focuses on a different theme. Week 1 is The Art of Storytelling, Week 2 is Famous Authors and Characters, Week 3 is Building a Story with Legos, Week 4 is Greek Mythology, Week 5 is Caption This!, Week 6 is Thinking in the Box: Comic Heroes and Villains, Week 7 is Out of This World! and Week 8 is Spooky Stories. Lunches and snacks are included. You may also sign up for half sessions (June 19-July 14 or July 17-Aug. 11) or partial sessions, which are on a weekly basis.

Beginning Animation at College for Creatives Studies

This summer camp is broken up into ages 8-10 and 11-13. Students will create their own animated cartoon.

Ceramics and Sculpture at College for Creatives Studies

This summer camp is broken up into ages 8-10 and 11-13. Students will spend half the day in the ceramic studio and the other half in the sculpture studio at this camp.

UpCycled Fashion Design at College for Creatives Studies

This summer camp is broken up into ages 8-10 and 11-13. Students will create new clothes from thrifted clothing. They’ll use sewing machines or sew by hand.

Campers in grades 3 to age 12 will work exclusively with clay and experiment with air dry clay, glazing, drawing and painting.
