Scrambled egg and dry toast are so last Mother’s Day. This year, treat mom with something different by making French toast. You can keep it simple with quick and easy French toast recipe. Or pair some of her favorite tastes with the eggy flavor that also happens to give French toast its characteristic creamy middle.

If she likes fruit, try the caramel apple baked French toast. Put in an extra step or two by making almond-crusted French toast for her. For a really decadent breakfast, offer her chocolate French toast – you could even drizzle it with chocolate syrup before giving it to her to eat in bed.

Quick and Easy French Toast

Whisk together milk, egg, vanilla and cinnamon to start this quick and easy French toast recipe from McCormick. Coat a nonstick pan with cooking spray and heat to medium-high. Dip each piece of bread into the egg mixture and then place onto the pan. Cook until crisp, then flip and brown the other side.

Caramel Apple Baked French Toast

In a bowl, stir brown sugar, melted butter, whipping cream and corn syrup until combined. Pour the mixture into a casserole dish. In a second bowl, froth eggs with more whipping cream and sugar and soak pieces of premade refrigerated French in the combination, then put into the casserole dish.
