Did you receive a push present when you gave birth to your little one? Maybe it was a bouquet of roses or a necklace – a little token for bringing a baby into the world.
Well, if you’re Kim Kardashian, you definitely want a push present. And you know it’s not going to be cheap.
While the baby she struggled to have should be enough, Kardashian wants $1 million worth of bling from her husband, Kanye West, for giving birth for a second time.
Yahoo Parenting reports that the reality star hopes to receive a Lorraine Schwartz diamond choker, similar to one she wore during the Art + Film Gala.
“We women go through an entire pregnancy carrying a baby. … of course it only makes sense that we get something amazing to show how amazing we are!” she writes on her blog.
When she gave birth to daughter, North, Kardashian received $65,000 of Cartier jewelry from her hubby, Yahoo Parenting adds. This gift, however, is quite a bit more extravagant.
Kardashian isn’t alone in her over-the-top push presents. Mom.me’s list of the most outrageous celebrity push presents includes an 8- to 10-karat blue diamond ring that Jay-Z reportedly gave to Beyonce for birthing Blue Ivy and a $120,000 emerald-and-diamond cross that Keith Urban gave Nicole Kidman when their daughter was born via surrogate.
As you can imagine, people are disgusted by Kardashian’s push present request, but I’m really not – and here’s why. Let’s consider something: $1 million to the reality star and her rapper/designer husband is comparable to, let’s say, $500 for the average person. Is it really that big of a deal for her to say she dreams of receiving a $1 million dollar choker? I don’t think so.
Yes, it’s excessive. But Kardashian and West are the epitome of excess, so I’m not shocked or offended by this. Plus, she’s simply sharing her desires with her followers – maybe Yeezy won’t deliver! And, just in case, she does offer seven far more reasonable alternatives in the blog post, ranging a scant $78 to $2,600.
