Mom Packs Four Loko in Daughter's Lunch

“I need a cup of coffee before I try and pack lunches from now on.”

That’s what a Georgia mom is saying after a recent lunch-packing fail, Buzzfeed reports.

This mom still packs her 17-year-old daughter Mckenzie Strange’s lunch (aww!), but recently mom’s lunch choices for her daughter went viral – in the most hilarious way.

What happened?

Well, mom packed a Four Loko as Mckenzie’s beverage. Four Loko, for those of you who don’t know, is an alcoholic drink that’s in a can, which sort of resembles other popular types of non-alcoholic drinks, like a Monster energy drink.

When Mckenzie texted her mom about the drink choice, mom said she thought it was tea or an energy drink – and that’s not surprising based on the packaging.

“It was in the refrigerator downstairs,” she texted her daughter. Turns out, the drink belonged to Mckenzie’s 23-year-old brother.

Honest mistake on mom’s part.

The teen tweeted the photo of her lunch, along with her mom’s texts, and the Twitterverse went crazy – retweeting it some 85,000 times.

Mckenzie ditched the drink before getting to school, she tells Buzzfeed. Mom was embarrassed by the mistake, but I think it’s hilarious.

I can imagine being this mother someday, and I could see my mom doing this when I was a child. Her heart was in the right place, but she definitely made a hilariously epic fail here.
