The Center for Implant Dentistry and Oral Surgery, located in Farmington Hills, provides patients pain-free oral surgery and implant services using the latest technology and techniques.
It starts with Dr. Yuksel Erpardo, the owner of the Center for Implant Dentistry and Oral Surgery, who specializes in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He treats and performs various oral diseases and dental surgical procedures including dental implants, surgical extractions, wisdom teeth removal, biopsies, bone grafting, sinus lifts and IV sedation.
"We treat each patient unique instead of the cookie-cutter approach. We go through every detail with our patients about their treatment options and make sure that they understand each step of their treatment," Dr. Erpardo says. "We utilize the latest in dental technology and techniques in order to offer you the best oral surgery and implant treatment available in the area."
Dental implants have been a very popular treatment option for replacing missing teeth for the last 15 years. It has been a more and more accepted treatment option by the patients compared to removable and fixed partial dentures or bridges. Dental implants are the closest replacements to natural teeth in terms of feel, function and appearance.
Nowadays, it is possible to obtain excellent aesthetics and function with dental implants. In some cases, it is even possible to get immediate implant and restoration in one visit. Therefore, once all the conditions are in place, you may come to Dr. Erpardo's office without teeth and walk out with teeth the same day of the implant placement.
Center for Implant Dentistry and Oral Surgery offers sedation options for the patients who feels nervous to be the in the dental chair.
"Over the years more and more patients request sedation. IV sedation is giving the sedative medications through their arm, which puts the patients to sleep and makes them comfortable during the surgery." Dr. Erpardo says.
The Center for Implant Dentistry and Oral Surgery also offers oral sedation and Nitrous Oxide for those who don't want an IV.
When it comes to the atmosphere, the Center for Implant Dentistry and Oral Surgery feels like home, says office manager Gina. The welcoming environment features a cozy waiting room where patients and parents can enjoy coffee and tea.
This homelike atmosphere mirrors the philosophy of the office. "We treat our patients like family," Dr. Erpardo says. At the end of each day, Dr. Erpardo calls each surgery patient to check on them. He inquiries about pain control and answers any questions they may have.
"We don't have a front desk barrier in our office. If you need to talk to Dr. Erpardo, he is very approachable and easy to talk to," Gina says.
"We answer our phone calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We don't have a calling service. If a patient calls, it is always one of our team members who answers the phone," Gina says. "Whether it is Saturday, Sunday or the middle of the night, we are here for our patients."
Dr. Erpardo holds a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from University of Detroit Mercy and earned his fellowship certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Florida. He also holds both Doctorate of Dental Surgery degrees and Ph.D. from the University of Istanbul, Turkey.
For more than nine years has served as an assistant professor in oral and maxillofacial surgery and Director of Implant Dentistry at the University of Detroit Mercy.
