FROM THE Schools

For more than seven decades, Southfield Public Schools has provided quality education to students from the cities of Southfield and Lathrup Village to help them cultivate the skills needed to succeed long after they leave the hallways of one of the district's schools.

Through its 13 schools, the district serves more than 6,000 students from birth through grade 12 and beyond.

From a nationally accredited early childhood Head Start Program to a college-prep curriculum, Southfield Public Schools provides students with ample opportunity to learn and grow Ñ from their earliest years all the way through graduation.

"Southfield Public Schools is a close knit community that has an array of hidden gems throughout the district in order to meet every students' needs," says Jennifer Green, Ed.D., superintendent, Southfield Public Schools.

Among these hidden gems are award-winning dance and music programs, S.T.E.A.M. programming and a high school that ranks No. 25 in the state of Michigan by U.S. News & World Report, to name a few. Read on for more unique offerings within the district.
