After surgery or hospitalization, not all patients are not ready to return to their homes right away. The WellBridge Group’s post-acute rehabilitation and nursing centers provide a bridge to recovery and wellness. The centers offer short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy in a therapeutic atmosphere of wellness. As a forward-thinking industry leader, WellBridge takes an innovative approach to products, amenities and service.
WellBridge provides care for adults involved in auto accidents, work-related injuries, or those who have had surgery, like hip or knee replacement. The centers also provide a place for those who have been hospitalized for illnesses such as a stroke or heart attack. In addition, WellBridge offers inpatient hospice care and long-term care options for those in need.
“WellBridge is set apart from other rehabilitation facilities by our state-of-the-art centers and our philosophy to provide our guests with an experience that is truly EPIC – Excellent, Passionate, Innovative, and Caring,” says Julie Ryan, Vice President of Business Development and Director of Managed Care for WellBridge. “With surroundings that resemble an all-inclusive healthcare resort, WellBridge provides an environment that is conducive to wellness.”
With state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment including an anti-gravity treadmill and specialized services such as massage therapy, ultrasound, electromyography, biofeedback, e-stim, VitalStim, diathermy and lymphedema therapy – guests are able to achieve exceptional results, allowing for a quick recovery and a swift return back home, Ryan says.
While at WellBridge, guests experience a number of amenities that make their stay comfortable. There are mostly private suites available with private bathrooms that have European-style showers. Beds feature Tempur-Pedic mattresses with fine sheets and linens. Rooms are equipped with smart TVs, as well. The centers have complimentary Wi-Fi.
On-site services include chef-prepared meals and the WB’s Fresh Bistro, which is open to the public and serves Starbucks. Guests can also opt for room service. There is a full-service, on-site salon, as well as massage therapy services with one complimentary massage for WellBridge guests, truly hospitality healthcare!
To aid in the transition from the hospital to a WellBridge facility, a liaison meets with the patients and their families at the hospital to answer questions and works with the hospital to make the transition as smooth as possible. Following a stay at WellBridge, Care Transition staff members can also help arrange any services needed at home, such as equipment or health care.
WellBridge quality care is also confirmed by Medicare ratings at the Medicare.gov Nursing Home Compare website. This website contains information related to quality of care, staffing, and health and fire safety inspections for more than 15,000 nursing homes around the country. WellBridge centers average a score of 4.5 stars out of 5 stars. This rating is well above the rating for other providers of post-acute care in Michigan.
WellBridge has 8 locations in Livingston, Oakland, Macomb and Genesee counties.
