While everyone else is sending their 3-, 5-, 7- or 9-year-old kids off to camp, parents of little ones are often left wondering if there are options available for their kiddos – especially if they are 2 years old. That’s where Franklin Kids Club, part of the Franklin Athletic Club located in Southfield, comes in.
Known for its variety of summer day camps, Franklin Kids Club offers a Tiny Tot Camp made just for kids ages 2-3. Little ones get to experience a mini organized version of the Fun and Games Camp, which features activities such as coloring, dancing, singing and more. Children who participate in this camp, which is offered both half and full day, don’t need to be potty trained, either (diapers, wipes and a change of clothes must be sent along with campers, though).
The unique offering is just one of many cool summer day camps at Franklin Kids Club – where specialty camps are the most popular attraction. Kids up to 15 years old can participate in a variety of themed day camps including Fun and Games Day Camp, Tennis Camp, Basketball Camp by Pistons Academy and by Nike, Robotics Camp, STEM Camp, Pet Camp, Gymnastics Camp, Flag Football camp, Toddler Camp, Counselor in Training Camp, Fairytale Camp, Warrior, Theatre, Girls on the Go and more.
No matter what your child is interested in, there’s a camp for him or her here. During day camp, children get to take advantage of several of the offerings at this 250,000-square-foot facility, including the indoor and outdoor pools, too.
And, because families are busy, flexibility is important – and to make things convenient for moms and dads who can’t always plan ahead, walk-ins are always welcome. In addition, families can register for most camps as late as the day of camp. However, those who opt to register early can benefit from the early bird registration prices for most of the camps offered.
Families ready to book early can receive 10% off of Franklin Kids Club’s early registration prices if you register by April 19, 2020. Deposits are not required to register for camps.
A registration form can be found at franklinclub.com. Simply fill it out and email it back to the folks at Franklin Athletic Club.
