Here, we share some great options for attractions to try.

Grand River Edges Trail

Explore the outdoors with ease on Grand River Edges Trail, a 5.4-mile trail connecting downtown Grand Rapids to Kent Trails and Millennium Park. Wander through Riverside Park’s scenic 2.2 miles of paved paths, where you’ll also find a link to the Fred Meijer White Pine State Trail. Don’t miss the downtown loop segment, stretching 2.1 miles and passing by some of the city’s most notable attractions. Whether you’re seeking a leisurely stroll or an active adventure, this trail offers a perfect blend of urban charm and natural beauty for everyone to enjoy.

Ghost Tour Grand Rapids

The Ghost Tour Grand Rapids is ideal for families who are interested in some eerie history about Grand Rapids. Walkers are guided through Grand Rapids’ historic streets, uncovering stories of ghostly encounters, haunted locations, and strange happenings. The Ghost Tour offers a unique and immersive experience for those brave enough to delve into the paranormal realm. “The views were amazing, and we loved the stories,” says Karlee H. on Tripadvisor.

Great Lakes Glow Golf

Tee off on an adventure at Great Lakes Glow Golf. Their unique 18-hole mini-golf course is set under black light and features charming Michigan animals throughout. Check out holes 4-8, showcasing impressive record-winning fish mounts for an extra splash of excitement! Great Lakes Glow Golf also has mini bowling and an arcade with about 35 games. Tasty concession snacks and novelties to take home, too.

Frederik Meijer Garden and Sculpture Park

Frederik Meijer Garden and Sculpture Park is a haven for nature lovers and art enthusiasts. Explore one of the world’s premier horticultural display gardens and sculpture parks, featuring a collection of over 200 sculptures. Named the Best Sculpture Park in the United States by readers of USA Today in 2023 and 2024, Meijer Gardens stands as one of the most-visited art museums globally. Immerse yourself in the harmonious mix of art and nature as you wander through botanical landscapes dotted with sculptures. Kalvin H. on Tripadvisor took his family to see cherry blossoms in the spring and says, “Beautiful. Coming here at the exact time that the trees were fully bloom was magical.
