Summer is quickly coming to an end, but there’s still plenty of time to get in one more exciting family outing before the school year hits – and there’s no better place to visit than C.J. Barrymore’s.
This family fun park, which is located in Clinton Township, features more than 20 indoor and outdoor attractions that will delight family members of all ages.
“We’re all about fun here,” says Anne-Marie Goike, a spokesperson for C.J. Barrymore’s. “There are so many rides and attractions. It’s really a great place to have fun and make memories in the summer – and in the winter too.”
Inside, guests can partake in a number of activities including bowling and laser tag.
There’s also indoor bumper cars set to strobe lighting and music, the 3D shooting gallery, XD Dark Ride, and an arcade packed with more than 100 games like Dark Escape, Halo Fireteam Raven, Jurassic Park, Star Wars Battle Pod, Walking Dead, Face Place Photo Studio and many others.
The outdoor park features even more fun, along with stomach-dropping thrills, in the form of the 650-foot-long Soaring Eagle Zipline, the park’s new Drop Tower, which offers a 120-foot free-fall experience, the 120-foot Saddle Sling and the Loop Roller Coaster, which promises to “scare you like the big coasters.”
“The Drop Tower and Sling are more thrill rides,” Goike says. “They, along with the Loop Roller Coaster and the zip line, add the element of thrill.”
And it’s no problem if your kiddos aren’t quite ready to tackle the more intense options just yet because there is plenty of tamer fun to be had on this spot’s three go-cart tracks and 32-foot rock-climbing wall – not to mention the new Ferris Wheel and Spinning Coaster.
“The Spinning Coaster is a great little coaster because it’s available to anybody,” Goike explains. “It’s got a figure 8 track with spinning cars and it’s just an enjoyable ride that’s more fun than scary.”
C.J. Barrymore’s is recommended for those ages 6-plus as most of the park’s attractions have a minimum height requirement of 40 inches or taller.
Both the indoor and outdoor park are open 11 a.m.-11 p.m. daily through Sept. 2, 2019. After, the park is open 4-11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Sept. 29, 2019.
The outdoor park will close in October but the indoor park is open year round.
Admission to the park is free, but there is a fee on each attraction. Guests can choose to pay $42 for an all-day wristband or pick up a Fun Card, which you can add money to and then swipe at each attraction.
You can get the special back-to-school wristband price of $35 from Aug. 19 to 23 and 26 to 29, 2019, or enjoy a $33 wristband on Labor Day weekend.
