Families all over the state of Michigan are staying safe at home due to the coronavirus, so the need for virtual entertainment has hit an all-time high. In Macomb County, there’s a list of resources available for families who are looking for things to do during this time, but there’s also a really cute way to stay entertained — the Macomb County Animal Control’s live kitten cam.
This EarthCam, which was recently installed at this local animal control center, is sure to provide some much-needed smiles to animals lovers of all ages.
This 24/7 feed gives families a glimpse of the comings and goings of many adorable — and adoptable — pets.
Families who might be interested in adopting a furry friend will be able to see all the kitties (and, in some cases, a doggy or two) in action prior to visiting the local animal shelter.
This isn’t the first EarthCam installed in Macomb County. In fact, the Peregrine Falcon EarthCam, which tracked the nesting falcons — who nested in the Old Macomb County Building for more than a decade — was a hit in 2019. This year, the camera is in the wrong corner, as the duo of falcons has nested elsewhere. However, they do have eggs this year!
