Where to Get Ice Cream in Sandusky (Including Toft’s Dairy!)

Vacations and ice cream just go together. Don’t miss out! Here’s our guide for where to get ice cream in Sandusky and other sweet tooth satisfiers.

You’ve made your vacation plans and you’re hitting all the highlights, but did you plan for sweet treats and sticky smiles? Be sure to make your family happy by including at least a couple of ice cream pit stops while you’re on vacation. If you’re an ice cream lover, be sure to seek out Toft’s Dairy. This company is famous locally for its creamy taste and variety of ice cream flavors, and you’ll see it often on restaurant menus that feature ice cream desserts.

Here’s our guide for top ice cream spots in Sandusky.

Where to get ice cream in Sandusky

Coffee and Cream is a family-run shop in Lakeside Marblehead, on the north shore of Lake Erie. In addition to signature fresh roasted coffee and hand-dippeed ice cream, sundaes, floats and novelties, this sweet shop has smoothies and bakery items, too.

Jolly Donut is a 50s-style diner with a cute name and some irresistible donuts. Omelets, french toast, pancakes and sandwiches are also on this diner’s menu.

Doughin’ Crazy is a downtown Sandusky marketplace shop with edible cookie dough, plus ice cream and many favorite toppings. Cookie dough flavors include mocha chocolate chip, brownie batter, snickerdoodle, cheesecake and many others. Add ice cream and toppings for your own over-the-top creation!

Toft’s Dairy Ice Cream Parlor is a Sandusky institution scooping up enormous ice cream treats in your choice of cone, cup or waffle bowl. Get a shake, malt, float, sundae or a banana split (the small banana split has five scoops of ice cream!)

The Maca Root Juice Bar & Eatery is a sweet eatery with some options you can feel good about indulging in, including smoothies, juices and acai bowls.

Eats N’Treats has an expansive menu with everything from salads and sandwiches to pizza and subs. But they also serve Toft’s ice cream in any combination you can imagine. If your kids have never had the pleasure of tasting a rootbeer float, here’s their chance!

Reesey’s Sweets is a Lakeside Marblehead shop that will make your sweet tooth sing. Get a taste of Michigan with some Mackinac fudge or savor the Toft’s ice cream you’re quickly building a craving for!
