Easter Bunny Desserts to Make With Kids

Bake an Easter Bunny cake, put together a Peeps treat or try one of these other kid-friendly Easter Bunny desserts that are delicious picks for your family's Easter celebration.

It’s Easter Bunny time! While adults may look forward to Easter brunch or dinner featuring thick pieces of ham and a side of cheesy potatoes – for the kids in the group, well, they’re probably thinking about what’s for dessert.

Easter Bunny desserts are a fun way to serve up a sweet buffet of themed goodies. First, make Easter Bunny treats using Rice Krispies. Or use an iconic seasonal sweet – Peeps – to create various treats.

What about Easter Bunny cupcakes or smiley face Easter Bunny cookies? Get silly by making a big batch of bunny butt cookies. Or break out a pedestal to show off an Easter Bunny cake.

Now who’s ready to get creative in the kitchen?

Bunny Dirt Cups

These bunny dirt cups from A Zesty Bite are adorable and easy to make. Throw graham crackers in a food processor and blend until fine. Stir in chocolate pudding and vanilla to make the base for these dessert cups. Make icing, too, and then top with pink Peeps.

Easter Bunny Treats

Melt marshmallows and butter together and then mix with crisped rice cereal to begin making this recipe for Easter Bunny treats from Kellogg’s Rice Krispies. Use frosting to make the eyes, nose and bunny tails. For the ears, have your kids cut out pieces from pink construction paper.

Peeps S’mores

There are so many ways to use Peeps to create Easter goodies, from adhering them to pretzel sticks with melted candy to crafting up “Peeps sushi.” But when it comes to Easter Bunny desserts, these fun Peeps s’mores from the blog Chasing Fireflies are sure to delight – especially the crunchy textured the caramelized treats acquire after a bit of toasting.

Easy Bunny Cupcakes

Little rabbit ears peek out of these easy bunny cupcakes from Your Cup of Cake. As a base, use yellow cake mix and bake according to the package directions. Next, add a dollop of white frosting. To finish off the recipe, cut a large-sized marshmallow in half and then form into a bunny ear shape. Dip into pink-colored sugar and then tuck into the frosting.

Smiley Face Easter Bunny Cookies

Aiming for that professional bakery look for your Easter sweets? Then follow the directions for these smiley face Easter Bunny cookies from Wilton. Use royal icing to receive the smooth look to cover the bunny-shaped cookie. Add pink icing to create the inside of the bunny’s ears and nose. Make eyes and a mouth using thin, black icing.

Bunny Butt Cookies

Your kids won’t be able to stop laughing as they help you make these bunny butt cookies from Pillsbury. The bunny “butt” is a circular sugar cookie while the backs of the bunny feet are smaller, oval-shaped cookies. Add frosting to keep the bunny feet in place and then add a miniature marshmallow for the tail and chocolate-covered candies to make the padding on the bottom of the bunny feet.

Easter Bunny Cake

Bake two 8- or 9-inch round carrot cakes to craft this Easter Bunny cake from Better Crocker. Cut one of the circular cakes in half, frost and then put together. Put the straight edge on a plate and then make a notch in the upper one-third to form the bunny’s head. Cover generously with white frosting and then shredded coconut to be the bunny “hair.” Use jelly beans for eyes, a gumdrop for a nose and pink paper cut into bunny ears.

Cinnamon Roll Bunnies

One tube of refrigerated cinnamon roll dough goes a long way with this cinnamon roll bunnies recipe from Taste of Home. Use a biscuit cutter for the body of the bunny and then shape the ears and bow tie with the remaining dough. It’s easy and makes for a cute treat for the kiddies on Easter.
