Flower fields are fun for the whole family. Young kids get a kick out of seeing and smelling the abundance of color, teens love scoring the perfect picture for Instagram and parents just enjoy the time spent with the kids in the outdoors.
If you’re looking for a bright outing, these local flower fields are a great place to visit — some even offer u-pick options so that you can take a piece of the destination home with you.
Keep in mind that different flowers bloom at different times of the year. Tulips start blooming around May, lavender starts to come in in June and sunflowers don’t make an appearance until July or August. Make sure you plan your trip accordingly.
