Tips for families when visiting Glenlore Trails Aurora

  • If you have little ones, consider bringing a stroller or wagon. Although the trail isn’t paved, it is still a smooth enough ride for them.
  • The trail is about an hour long, so make sure to use the restroom before you begin.
  • If there is scattered rain/snow, the event will still go on. If the weather is more severe, they will notify you that it has been postponed and offer alternative dates or a refund.
  • Families are encouraged to dress up in fun holiday attire or deck themselves out in glow sticks and glow-in-the-dark items.
  • Enjoy some Mexican-inspired cuisine before you head out on the trails from the Taco Truck, which will be on site. It features tacos, burritos, chips, waffle fries and more.

  • Jump around at Urban Air Adventure Center, now open in Commerce Township. It offers bumper cars, laser tag, ropes course, battle beam, warrior course and tubes playground.
  • Want to stop at a kid-friendly brewery for a bite to eat before the trails? Check out Kickstand Brewing Company. The kids menu features cheeseburger sliders, chicken tenders, mac and cheese, grilled cheese or one topping pizza.
  • Go bowling at Wonderland Lanes. Every Friday night, it features “glow bowling” and offers a $15/person special (includes shoes).
  • Stop by Dx Games & More for trading cards, board games, Legos, Squishmallows and gaming accessories.
