Art and Apples Festival in Rochester

The Paint Creek Center for the Arts has hosted the annual Arts and Apples Festival for more than 50 years. Join the fun again this year, Sept. 6-8, 2019.

Rochester Park, right near the main Rochester downtown strip, is home to one of the nation’s best fine art fairs, the Art and Apples Festival, which is returning for its 53rd year Sept. 6-8, 2019 with plenty of activities for kids and adults alike.

First, kick your day off at this Michigan art fair with a little culture by checking out the artwork of more than 250 artists who will be showing and selling work that ranges from beautiful paintings and clay masterpieces to unique mixed-media creations – plus jewelry, leather, photography and more.

After,  find a variety of fun activities, including live performances by all three of Rochester’s high schools, Deborah’s Stage Door, Shelia Lands Trio and many others.

The Kids Art Zone, which is full of kid-friendly fun like inflatables, face painting and a bunch of make-and-take art projects and much more.

Plus, you’ll find plenty of food booths set up by local businesses and, of course, tons of apple treats.

Festival admission is free, but there is a $5 suggested donation. Hours are as follows:

  • Friday: 4-7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

A free shuttle takes off from Rochester High School and paid parking is available in all downtown lots.
