Art Birmingham Festival in Shain Park

This art-filled, family-friendly event is back May 11-12, 2019, at Shain Park in Birmingham with an array of paintings, ceramics, photography and much more.

If you are looking for a new piece to hang in your home, or just want your children to be inspired by the creativity of more than 150 artists, bring the whole family to Art Birmingham, happening May 11-12, 2019 at Shain Park in Birmingham.

You’ll see a variety of art in different mediums, including paintings, mixed media, ceramics, photography and even sculpture. Walk through Shain Park to check out the unique pieces created by local artists right from the surrounding southeast Michigan towns.

This festival is conveniently located right in the heart of downtown Birmingham – at Merrill Street – making it easy to take a walk into the city for some shopping and a bite to eat during this event.

While this event is free admission, bring cash or card if you are planning on purchasing any of the pieces for sale.

Even if you are not looking to purchase a one-of-a-kind work of art, there is still so much to see at this year’s annual celebration – and cool stuff for the kids, including the youth Art Activities Tent where kids can create their very own Mother’s Day masterpieces. The activity is free but all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Check out this year’s Art Birmingham festival 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, May 11 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, May 12.
