Black Santa Photo Experience

BLAC Detroit offers its annual one-of-a-kind Black Santa Photo Experience at the Southfield Pavilion, Dec. 15-16, 2018.

Want to add a little spice to your child’s yearly photo with Santa? Then head out to the Southfield Pavilion Dec. 15-16, 2018, for a unique photo with a very special Santa Claus at the fourth annual Black Santa Photo Experience.

This free event is presented by Metro Parent’s sister magazine, BLAC Detroit and aims to celebrate diversity by bringing local kids together with a black Santa, who might look a little more like them and a little less like the average run-of-the mill mall elf, to tell him what they want for Christmas and to even snap a photo with him.

This event is open to any child who wants visit with Santa, and perhaps learn a thing or two about the importance of accepting other people for exactly who they are, while being filled with the warmth and cheer of the holidays.

The Black Santa Photo Experience happens at the Southfield Pavilion on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 16 from noon to 3 p.m. Admission to this event is free but you must register for this event at blacdetroit.com.

You must also bring your own camera if you want to take a photo of your child’s visit.

After kids snap their pic with Santa, they’ll sip on milk and snack on cookies.
