Do you have a Lego-lovin’ kid in your home? Then clear your schedules, Sept. 23-24, 2017, because Brickworld Michigan is taking over the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. And this Lego convention a must-go show for kids interesting in construction.
This exhibit, which boasts being the “premier Lego fan experience in North America,” covers the 40,000-square-foot show room in spectacular feats of building block ingenuity.
And we’re not talking about cute stacks of bricks. We’re talking thousand-piece fantasy displays and replicas of famous buildings, paintings and machinery, including a 500,000-piece model of the USS Missouri.
On top of that, kids and enthusiasts will get the chance to interact with, and learn the secrets of, the artists and engineers behind the displays, build some masterpieces of their own on the Graffiti Wall and challenge themselves in the Play Brick area, which features just one type of brick and plenty of opportunities for creative prowess.
There’s also Lego vendors on-site and ready to hook you up with some of the hottest Lego sets and accessories, so be sure to take a minute and browse what they’ve got.
Brickworld Michigan happens 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. General admission is $13 by credit or debit card or $12.50 in cash. Kids 3 and under are free. (Check out the Metro Parent contest section for a chance to get in free.)
