Are you looking to hit up one more September festival before the fall chill rolls in? The Smokin’ Jazz and Barbecue Blues Festival in Brighton brings the heat for families with delicious eats and swingin’ music on Sept. 7-8, 2018.
The festival, which is celebrating its 13th year, officially kicks off on Friday evening. Head downtown to take in all of the mouthwatering aromas and flavors of barbecue ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket, mac and cheese and other culinary temptations.
Vendors selling all kinds goodies will be set up throughout the downtown area, and moms and dads will find a beer tent filled with ale, hard cider wine and other adult beverages set up in the parking lot behind Great Harvest Bread Company, too.
Also in this tent are live jazz and blues performances by Hank Mowery & The Hawktones, JC & The Royal Keys, Organissimo, Grey Nagy and many others.
The Smokin’ Jazz and Barbecue Blues Festival happens in downtown Brighton along Main Street from Grand River Avenue to First Street. The fest runs 5-11 p.m. Friday and noon-11 p.m. Saturday.
Admission to the festival is free, but there is a $5 cover fee to enter the beer tent.
