Grab your hats and scarves and "chill out" at the annual Ice Festival at Canterbury Village in Lake Orion.
On Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, the historical hamlet will sparkle with a variety of ice-themed activities from noon to 4 p.m. With face painting, crafts and carnival games, the whole family will find something to love.
See how an artist transforms a block of ice into a beautiful sculpture, and watch the wood chips fly during a chainsaw wood carving demonstration. Then grab a hot dog or some chili and enjoy the music provided by entertainment service DJ crashers.
Need to warm up? Tents, heaters and bonfire pits are provided to ward off the harsh weather.
Admission to the icy bash is free, and food donations will be accepted for Oxford/Orion FISH, which provides emergency food to needy families.
