Calling all families: Uncle Sam wants you to come to the Clawson Fourth of July celebration June 26-July 4, 2019, for a grand ol’ time at Clawson City Park.
Get Yankee Doodle dandy, because you can celebrate America’s Independence for six whole days. With “Red, White and Boom” as this year’s theme, families can take part in this Oakland County city’s festivities, including the big fireworks display.
Join all the hoopla the first two days by attending the ice cream social on Wednesday and Mack Firetruck Rides on Friday. Come back on Saturday for food in the park and the Kiddie Parade or on Sunday for the Fun Run and 5K Freedom Run.
If you can’t make it every day, Wednesday July 3 and Thursday July 4 are a must. Wednesday kicks off with an Arts and Crafts Fair and continues with a carnival and Monster Truck Rides.
Wednesday’s fun overflows into Thursday, which in addition features an Independence Day parade, hot dog eating contest, water battles with the Troy Fire Depart, free live musical entertainment and a beautiful fireworks display at dusk.
The 2019 Clawson Fourth of July celebration runs June 26, 28-30 and July 3-4, 2019. Times vary for specific activities within the event but the event starts at 7 p.m. June 26, 10:30 a.m. June 29, 7 p.m. June 30, 3 p.m. July 3 and 8:30 a.m. July 4.
