CoverKids Returns

Hey, west-side kids: We’re heading your way! It’s a twofer. Metro Parent’s CoverKids is happening twice in one year – and this time, we’re hitting Wayne County. The Westland Shopping Center on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 to be exact. Don’t miss this rare second chance to give your child a chance to get on the cover of Metro Parent magazine. Time slots run 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As always, this isn’t a beauty contest (leave the fancy duds, portfolios and makeup at home). Scouts from Production Plus, a premier local talent agency specializing in kids modeling, will pick winners based on self-confidence, poise and personality. It’s important that the kids be comfortable on stage and be able to follow instructions. (Why not let them choose their outfit for the day, so their personality shines through?)

All kids are welcome from infant to age 12. The search begins at 10 a.m. and goes till 5 p.m. A $30 registration fee gets your child a CoverKids T-shirt and a coupon book to local attractions. Walk-ins are welcome, but advance registration is recommended.
