Craft Roundup: Halloween Snap Bracelets, Countdown Board, More

Today is Oct. 1 – so it’s now more than OK for us to talk about all-things Halloween! The stores are OFFICIALLY decorated and ready for all of your haunting needs. I’m guessing your kids have one, if not many, ideas for this year’s costume. No matter where you are with your Halloween prep, you’ve got plenty of time to get ready for spooky fun. This week’s roundup mixes some Halloween with a hint of autumn.

Fuzzy Monster Snap Bracelets

Craft blogger Margot Potter has given basic snap bracelets the Halloween treatment! These plain accessories, found in the jewelry department at your local Target, transform into bats and monsters thanks to some fuzzy fur and lots of googly eyes.

Pencil Picture Frame

OK, OK – so it’s not a Halloween project. But now that we’ve got one full month of school under our belts, you probably have some new school pictures to choose from for framing. (Hat tip to Dollar Store Crafts for sharing this project!)

Free Printable Halloween Chalkboard Countdown

For those of you who like Halloween on the not-so-scary side, Kristin of Yellow Bliss Road has something for you! She created this printable countdown calendar to hang on the first day of October as an alternative to over-the-top spooky decorations. Head over to her blog to download the free PDF.
