Detroit Boat Show at the TCF Center in Detroit

Families that enjoy lake time can get the latest boating info and snag hot gear at the Detroit Boat Show, running Jan. 18-26, 2020, at the TCF Center in Detroit.

Do you have a family full of lake lovers? If your kiddos enjoy life on Michigan’s Great Lakes, they’ll love a trip to the 62nd annual Detroit Boat Show.

This boating expo, which runs Jan. 18-26, 2020, at the TCF Center, formerly the Cobo Center, in Detroit, connects local boaters with everything they could want and need to have a successful summer out on the lakes.

Families just getting their sea legs – or make that lake legs – can learn all the ins and outs of boating during one of the expo’s boating classes. These include safety courses and fishing seminars.

After they complete these classes, they can try out what they’ve learned at the expo’s boating simulator – and peruse hundreds of exhibitors selling the latest and greatest boating tech and gear.

But that’s not all. This show features delicious seafood and other eats, live critters including sharks and a real-life mermaid – plus a Kids Zone full of games, crafts and activities every weekend.

The Detroit Boat Show happens daily Jan. 18-26, 2020, at the TCF Center in Detroit. Tickets are $13/person. Kids 12 and under are free with a paying adult.

Hours are as follows:

  • 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturdays
  • 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sundays and Mondays
  • 3-9 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays
