Easter Fun Festival at the Heilmann Recreation Center in Detroit

Detroit Parks and Recreation offer tons of springtime fun for Detroit families during the annual Easter Fun Festival on April 20, 2019, at the Heilmann Recreation Center.

Would you like a side of Earth Day to go with your Easter festivities? Then hop on over to the Heilmann Recreation Center in Detroit on April 20, 2019, for the annual Easter Fun Festival.

This event, which is put on by the Detroit Parks & Recreation Department, kicks off with some fun Easter-themed games, including the Egg-mazing Race, and face painting that will get your kiddo into the Easter spirit.

Once your child gets painted up like a duck, lamb, bunny or other critter of their choice, he or she can search for colorful eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny.

After they find them, they can actually meet their fluffy friend to collect prizes.

There will also be bounce houses, giveaways and much more. Oh, and that’s not all – because Easter and Earth Day fall so close together this year, this fest will also feature green games and other activities to get kids excited about preserving planet Earth.

The Easter Fun Festival is slated for April 20, 2019 – taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is free and open to all residents of Detroit.
