The Dexter Daze festival is back again, and there are plenty of activities for families and kids. The festival runs from Aug. 9-10, 2019 right in downtown Dexter.
Head to the Gazebo on Friday to see musical acts by School of Rock and All Directions; plus performances, by Yo-Yo Zeemo and the Ventriloquist Guy at Mill Creek Park.
Start off Saturday morning with the Dexter Daze Parade at 10 a.m., complete with the marching bands, floats and tractors.
After the parade, find more performances in the Gazebo including Rick Brown & Friends and the Skully Roadhouse Band, among others. The park will have even more performing acts as well, including more fun with Colors the Clown and the Top Hat Performers.
Also on Saturday, don’t miss the massive fireworks display at 10 p.m.
But that’s not all. In addition to these family-centric events, there will be bounce houses, train rides and plenty of artists in booths around the fair. And the Chalk the Block contest, where artists create beautiful chalk art on the street. Plus, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, shop the art and business booths – or swing by the social tent 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
Admission to the fair is free, and hours are 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
