Note: This event was extended two extra weekends. It’s now also running 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays-Sundays Sept. 12-13 and 19-20, 2015.

Dinosaurs are coming to Detroit! Don’t scream and hide – this is an event you and your kids won’t want to miss. The Dinosauria event at the Detroit Zoo is here May 22-Sept. 7 and Sept. 12-13 and 19-20, 2015 featuring huge, lifelike animatronic dinosaurs.

For kids who are captivated by prehistoric creatures, the Dinosauria exhibit is a must see. The Detroit Zoo takes you back in time and features 40 lifelike animatronic dinosaurs. They roar, they move – and some even spit! Walk through the tree-lined trail and see creatures like Quetzalcoatlus, Alioramus, Brachiosaurus, Triceratops and more.

The Dinosauria exhibit is $5/person, plus Detroit Zoo prices for admission are $14/adults ages 15-61, $10/kids ages 2-14 and seniors 62-plus. Kids under 2 get in free. Parking is $6.

Times for this event are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily May 22-Sept. 7 (open until 8 p.m. Wednesdays in July and August). It’s also open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays-Sundays Sept. 12-13 and 19-20.
