The title for Tape It and Make More really does say it all. This book is all about providing even MORE project ideas that are all about duct tape, if you can believe it. With 101 more things to make, the duct tape lover in your house will be hard pressed to say they’ve seen it all.
Written by Richela Fabian Morgan, this book is the follow-up to Tape It and Make It!, a No. 1 bestseller. An indie crafter specializing in paper, adhesives and found materials, Morgan has been a duct tape fan for the past six years. We here at Make It love the stuff, too (check out our previous tutorials for a duct tape bow tie and duct tape lunch bag project).
I was pleasantly surprised at the variety in the projects! Divided into nine categories, ranging from housewares to costumes, this book delivers are some duct tape staples (flowers, coin purses). But there are a lot of fresh, new ideas to get the creative tape juices flowing, too. |
My favorite project is the square planter. While it has a few more steps than some of the other crafts in this comp, the finished project looks fantastic. It’s also great for giving gifts to teachers or family friends; make the planter, personalize with your own decorations and add the recipient’s favorite flower inside. |
The book sways more toward to the teenage-and-up crowd, but an eager young crafter, with or without the help of a grown-up, can tackle many of the projects.
If your duct tape crafter is hunting for new ideas, this book is a fun guide for taking it further.
