Leading up to the Sunday holiday, there are tons of family Easter events in southeast Michigan. Get details on the best local events here.

Hippity hop, Easter is on its way (on March 31, 2024, to be exact)! The Easter Bunny is sure to be spotted soon and there are tons of Easter events to celebrate his arrival in Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties!

We’ve compiled this list of some of the coolest egg hunts, Bunny Brunches and other Easter events in the area to help ease your search for the right event for your family. There’s even an event where a helicopter drops Easter eggs from the sky!

Egg Hunts in Macomb County

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Chesterfield Community Center

March 16, 2024

This event features an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast followed by an Easter egg hunt outside. Collect eggs and turn them in for prizes to take home. Make sure to bring your camera to take a photo with the Easter Bunny. Registration is required for each family member attending.

Easter Bunny Brunch & Egg Hunt at Ike’s Restaurant

March 23, 2024

Visit with the Easter Bunny while enjoying brunch at Ike’s Restaurant. There will also be face painting, photo opportunities and an egg hunt. Advanced tickets required.

Farm Egg Scramble at the Farm Center at Wolcott Mill Metropark

March 23-24, 2024

Check out the animals at the farm, visit with the Easter Bunny, enter a coloring contest, hunt for eggs and more. For ages 1-10. Registration required.

The Bunny Trail at Stony Creek Church

March 23, 2024

Children can participate in an indoor egg hunt where they can collect eggs, candy and goodies from local businesses. Meet and take a photo with the Easter Bunny while you enjoy hot cocoa and a donut.

Easter Egg-stravaganza at Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill

March 24 and 30, 2024

Ages 3 and up will enjoy an egg hunt, train rides, pictures with the Easter Bunny, face painting, crafts and a petting zoo. Make sure to bring your own basket and dress for the weather. Registration required.

Egg Hunts in Oakland County

Egg Scramble at Drake Sports Park

March 21, 2024

Ages 1-8 can take part in their own Easter egg hunt, which also has a train ride, petting farm and visit with Mr. Bunny. Make sure to bring your own basket. Registration required.

Canterbury Eggstravaganza at Canterbury Village

March 23-24, 29-30, 2024

A helicopter will rain Easter eggs from the sky at this hunt at Canterbury Village. The afternoon will also include lawn games, a petting zoo, a bounce house and photos with the Easter Bunny. Make sure to bring your own basket to collect your eggs. Advanced registration required.

Easter Egg Hunt at Duck Lake Pines Park

March 23, 2024

Ages 2-10 can participate in an Easter Egg Hunt at Duck Lake Pines Park. Kids can enjoy face painting and a visit with the Easter bunny. The first 500 children will receive a goody bag.

Egg Scramble Along the Trail at Indian Springs Metropark

March 23, 2024

Ages 10 and under can bring their own baskets to search for hidden eggs in themed locations along the trail. Keep an eye out for the Easter Bunny. Registration is required.  

Maggiano’s Troy Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

March 23, 2024

At this Easter breakfast event, children can enjoy an Easter egg hunt, visit with the Easter bunny and enjoy other fun activities. Advanced tickets required.

RARA Easter Egg Hunt at Rochester Municipal Park

March 23, 2024

Check out RARA’s Ninth Annual Easter Egg Hunt! Bring a camera so your child can get a photo with the Easter Bunny, play games and hunt for eggs during this annual event. Dress for the weather. Different time slots available for ages 1-4, 5-7 and ages 8-11. Registration for each child is required. 

Community Egg Hunt at Oxford Park

March 30, 2024

This community egg hunt is hosted by Berkley First and Birmingham First. The hunt kicks off at 10 a.m. with three designated areas for different age groups. There will be donuts from the food truck, live music, moments with the Easter Bunny and more. Bring your own basket and camera.

Easter Bunny Bonanza at Seymour Lake Township Park

March 30, 2024

Enjoy an egg hunt and watch the bunny chopper fly over the park and drop ping pong balls. Advanced tickets required before 5 p.m. Thursday, March 28 at the Parks & Recreation Office.

March 21, 2024

Enjoy a night of music and dancing with the Easter Bunny. Take pictures with this furry friend in the first hour of the event. Great for all ages. All family members need a ticket to the event. Registration is required.

Easter Bunny Breakfast at United Skates of America

March 23, 2024

Enjoy a breakfast buffet with the Easter Bunny at United Skates of America. At this non-skating event, there will be an egg hunt, photo opportunities, a dance party and more.

Bunny Brunch and Helicopter Egg Drop! at The War Memorial

March 24, 2024

Enjoy a delicious Sunday morning brunch with your family, a visit with the Easter Bunny and a helicopter egg drop. Seatings are at 9 a.m. or noon and are sold by table. Advanced reservations required.

Easter Egg Scramble at Lake Erie Metropark

March 30, 2024

All ages can head to Lake Erie Metropark for an egg hunt, crafts, games and more during this festive spring program for the kids. Registration required.

Eggstravaganza at Maybury Farm

April 6, 2024

Kids ages 2-10 can enjoy an egg hunt, live animals, seed planting, face painting, crafts and more. Prize bags are limited to the first 700 children ages 2-plus.
